    1. I think I was a game geek from the first time I played a game on a computer – it was Sokoban around 1992, when I was eight years old. Most games I played back then were in English and I didn’t even know what I was doing, but I was determined to try and see what works and what doesn’t. I was hooked.

      For the years to come, I played whatever my brother bought until I got my own computer – I was the first girl in my high school class that had her own computer. ^^

      In spite of all this, it took me many more years to realize that I was a geek. But since then, just several years back, I wear the label proudly.

      I am not sure I agree on your Twitter statement. Here in Austria, I know many girls who play games, but they don’t usually tweet about it or have it in their biography. Most of my game geek girl (I was pondering if I should take that as my Twitter name) friends are from the US and Canada…
